The main successes which have given Tiruña its leadership position in R+D+i are:

DDS (Dry Dynamic System)

When the rolls are used with steam,, condensation is formed in the interior of the corrugating rolls, which must be removed.

Tiruña is the first corrugating roll manufacturer which has managed to remove condensation without the need of a siphon pipe. This reduces maintenance costs, the likelihood of breakages and minimizes the waste produced by the so-called banana effect.

IDD (Internal Dynamic Damping)

When the corrugating rolls spin, there is a moment when the harmonic vibrations match causing vibration within the single facer. These are critical speeds that cause a reduction in the quality of the corrugated or defects in its bonding.

To avoid this, Tiruña has designed and installed worldwide, an anti-vibration IDD pressure roll with spectacular and lasting results, which have increased productivity of the customer’s machinery at minimal cost.

Peripheral Heating

Corrugated and cardboard manufacturers often have the need to add extra heat to the paper, mainly with heavy paper or when the production speed needs to significantly increase.

To that end, Tiruña offers peripheral heated rolls for any make of single facer.

Some of the most modern corrugating machines incorporate this design as a standard to work at high speeds. Tiruña has taken this technology and applied it to older single facers, not originally designed this way..

Tiruña is the only manufacturing company of rolls which has implemented the structural design technology to the manufacture of corrugated as is in civil engineering.

We have succeeded in supplying the customer with corrugated compression values even higher than traditionals but at a production cost much lower to save in quantity or weight of the corrugating paper.
